Cannon Crew Training – Cincinnati
On September 7th, Cincinnati Chapter Compatriot Gerry Hounchell presented a cannon crew training exercise for seven enthusiasts, using his replica 3-pounder ‘Cricket’ cannon, firing blank charges. Gerry is a Certified Cannon Instructor (black powder). Also present was Richard Pieper, certified in Cannon Safety. The attendees had a chance to learn the duties of six cannon crew positions.
