New Ohio Society SAR Chapter Formed – The Highlanders Chapter #43
A new chapter of the Ohio Society of Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) held its second organizational meeting July 16th at the Sardinia Branch Library, Brown County. Named the Highlanders Chapter, they met to select officers for 2016. They are Ian M. Cunningham for president, and Ervin L. Chaney for secretary/treasurer.
Some members for the chapter will transfer in from the larger Cincinnati chapter, and there are a number of members new to SAR from the Adams, Brown and Highland County areas.
Membership in the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) is open to males who are able to prove their lineal decent by bloodline from an ancestor who aided in the cause of the American Revolution of 1776. For further information, call (937) 515-4378 anytime.
