Ohio Society SAR Elects New Leadership For 2016-2017 – Blue Ash, OH
At the annual meeting held at the Ohio Society SAR 127th Annual State Conference, the society membership elected new officers for the 2016-2017 leadership term. Elected for one year terms were: President – Col. (Ret) Donald C. McGraw, Jr.; 1st Vice-President – Rev. David B. Foster; 2nd Vice-President – Shawn Cox; Secretary – Turner Lee Wilkerson, III; Treasurer – L. Stephen Hinson; Registrar – Troy Bailey; Chaplain – Rev. James O. Fast; Historian – Dr. James River; Genealogist – Tim Ward; and Chancellor Richard L. Carr, Jr. Elected to a three year term as Director-at-Large 2016 – 2019 was Tim Ward, who joins Paul M. Wilke and Wm. A. “Tony” Robinson who are currently serving staggered terms. The election took place on April 30th, and the new officers were installed by NSSAR Secretary General J. Michael Tomme, Sr. and Central District Vice President General Robert P. Cunningham on May 1st.
James D. Schaffer and Tim Ward were nominated as National Trustee and Alternate Trustee for the Ohio Society respectively. The election for these National Society positions takes place at the NSSAR Congress in Boston in July of this year.
Additionally, William Huber Esq. was appointed as Statutory Agent, and James D. Schaffer was appointed as Chief Compliance Officer. District Chairman appointments were: Northwest District – David L. Lupien; Southwest District – Elwin Spray; Central District – Wm. A. “Tony” Robinson; Eastern District – Larry R. Perkins; Northeastern District – Dan Matheke; and Southeast District – Steve Frash.
