The John Hancock Chapter SAR Presents Colors at UF Naturalization Ceremony – Findlay, OH

John Hancock Naturalization Ceremony

The John Hancock Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution had the honor of presenting colors at the  University of Findlay’s 2016 Naturalization Ceremony on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 in the Koehler Fitness and Recreation Center on the university campus.

Judge Jack Zouhary of the U.S. District Court Northern District of Ohio presided over the ceremony which was open to the public.  Speakers included Nancy E. Tate, former director of the League of Women Voters of the United States and this year’s Woodrow Wilson Visiting Fellow at the University of Findlay, and Dr. Naghmana Masood, a Pakistani native who is a naturalized U.S. citizen.

Presenting the colors for the John Hancock Chapter were James Haas, Daniel Haas, Ken Dilmore, Thomas Putnam and Bill Barberree.  The ceremony saw 16 individuals become citizens.   A great short video is available at the Findlay Courier website showing the Color Guard in action.
