Ohio Historical Marker Dedication – Reily Township, Ohio


On June 20th, 2015, the Cincinnati Chapter SAR  was invited to assist with the dedication of an Ohio Historical Marker at the site of the Bunker Hill Cemetery and Universalist Church in Reily Township, Butler County, Ohio.  Two Revolutionary War soldiers are buried in the cemetery: New Jersey Pvt. James Deneen and Pennsylvania Pvt. Jacob Rusk.  Cincinnati Chapter Compatriots Michael Blum and Kenneth Carpenter nveiled the marker.  Also participating were the John Reily Chapter of the DAR, and the Fort Hamilton Society of the C.A.R.

The dedication was part of the day-long Founders Day Celebration hosted by the Reily Township Historical Society.
