Marietta Chapter to Honor Patriot John Paine
The Marietta Ohio Chapter Sons of the American Revolution is hosting a Patriot Grave Marking Ceremony for American Revolution Patriot John Paine on June 14, 2015 in Waterford, Washington County, Ohio. The event, to be held at the Stanley Cemetery, also known as the Sherman or Waterman Cemetery, is scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM. John Paine (1761-1843) served in the American Army during the War for Independence under Captain Turtleot’s Company of the Rhode Island Militia.
One of the Historical Goals of the Sons of the American Revolution is to commemorate and provide memorials for the people and events of the American Revolution.
