Patriots’ Day Memorial Dedication in Williamsburg, Ohio

On Patriots’ Day, April 19, 2015,  the Cincinnati Chapter of the Ohio Society of the Sons of the American Revolution dedicated a memorial for 11 Patriots buried in the Historic Williamsburg Township Cemetery. The grave of Patriot James Kain Jr. was also marked. The monuments were dedicated and the assembly then met at the Williamsburg 1st Presbyterian Church to exchange greetings and memorialize the 11 Patriots.

The Ohio Society Color Guard was mustered for the event.  Guardsmen from the Cincinnati Chapter, Hocking Valley Chapter, Marietta Chapter, General Henry Knox Chapter, and the Ebenezer Zane Chapter posted colors and rendered a flintlock salute.  Wreaths were presented by SAR, DAR, and CAR members.   Descendants of Patriot James Kain Jr. were in attendance, traveling from as far away as Boston, MA.
