The American Revolution in the First Person – Findlay
Daniel Haas of the John Hancock Chapter presented to nearly 150 8th grade students at Donnell Middle School in Findlay as part of the Revolutionary War unit throughout the day on Monday December 15th. The presentations were held in 80 minute blocks that allowed them to learn about the elements of the life of a Revolutionary War soldier including clothing, gear and tactics which was interwoven with the history of the 8th Pennsylvania Regt and it’s role on the Ohio frontier. Some of the youth, as pictured, were recruited and were properly clothed and outfitted for the expedition. They also had the opportunity for some hands on learning with some of the gear and various accoutrements.
