New Citizens – Cincinnati
The August 8th Naturalization Citizenship Ceremony in Southwest Ohio was held at The Healing Center, located in Tri-County near Kemper Road. The Healing Center provides help to residents of Greater Cincinnati when challenges invade their lives, offering practical, social, and spiritual support to individuals and families.
The Honorable Stephanie K. Bowman, U.S. Magistrate Judge presided at 2:00 PM. Compatriots Mike Gunn, Ken Carpenter and Ian Cunningham attended and were on hand to greet and pass out patriotic literature to the new citizens and their families.
Seventy new U.S. Citizens were sworn in, coming from 39 separate countries across the globe, pledging fidelity to the United States of America. Many pictures became new family treasures, the new citizens taking turns wanting pictures with the Revolutionary War uniforms, cameras being passed around so all members of each family could be in the photos.
