Purple Heart Ceremony – Cincinnati
On Monday, August 4th the Military Order of the Purple Heart Ceremony was held at Fountain Square in downtown Cincinnati. 79 military heroes who fought and died in Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation New Dawn from the Cincinnati Metropolitan Area were named and honored at the ceremony.
In addition to honoring the recently fallen, special recognition was given to the Vietnam War casualties, the Fallen 15, and Gold Star Families.
The colors were presented by the Cincinnati Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. Acting as members of the color guard were Central District Vice President General Tony Robinson and Past VPG Paul Wilke.
