125th Annual Meeting – Cambridge
The 125th Annual Meeting of the Ohio Society of the Sons of the American Revolution is set to step off on Friday, May 2, 2014.
The Society will meet at the Salt Fork State Lodge near Cambridge, Ohio.
Genealogist General Cornwell will be speaking on Friday Afternoon about how to speed-up your application process and how to help others get through the documentation process.
Saturday morning will be the Board of Management and the official Annual meeting. Major agenda items will be election of officers and By-Law changes. During the day Governor Kasich’s Resolution recognizing the SAR’s 125 Anniversary will be on display.
In the afternoon there will be the Oration Contest for High School students and judging for the Elementary Poster Contest. Saturday night will be the awards banquet with National Society Secretary General Lindsey Brock to be the featured speaker.
Sunday morning there will be the Memorial Service recognizing all the Ohio Society members that have passed in the last year.
The Annual meeting comes to a close with the installation of the new officers for the 2014-2015 year.
Ohio Society President George Ruch invites all members of the Ohio Society to attend their annual meeting and to meet national society officers and act on the business of the Ohio Society.
