President Harrison Celebrated – North Bend
The 241st birthday of President William Henry Harrison was celebrated on February 7, 2014 in North Bend, Ohio.
The Cincinnati Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution was on hand with local elected officials and Army Reserve Maj. Gen. Karen LeDoux, commander of the 88th Regional Support Command, and Chaplain (Lt. Col.) Robert Brady, deputy chaplain of the 88th RSC to render honors to Ohio’s adopted son.
While born in Virginia to a signer of the Declaration of Independence, Harrison spent his career in the Ohio Country and his home was in North Bend on the Ohio River.
Maj. Gen. Karen LeDoux represented the Office of the President by presenting a wreath at President Harrison’s Tomb.
