Hanoi Taxi Flys Into History – Springfield

The Program today was on the Hanoi Taxi, the U.S. Air Force Jet that brought our Prisoners of War Veterans home from Vietnam. The Speaker was Air Force Veteran / Retired Shuster. He calculated that he had logged a 1,000 flying hours – on the plane.
Each of the returning POWs signed the plane fuselage. We were honored to see Tom Moe’s signature. Tom, a SAR member of Hocking Hills Chapter, spent five years at the Hanoi Hilton.
New Officers were sworn in for the coming Year. Randy Young will serve as President of the George Rogers Clark Chapter in 2014.

Special thanks to Keith Kaufman from Eastern Ohio who drove to Springfield for the Chapter meeting and took pictures of the event.
