Revolutionary Camp – Findlay

In honor of Armed Forces Day, the 26th Annual Findlay Military Show was held on Saturday, May 18th.

The John Hancock Chapter of the Ohio Society had a full Revolutionary War camp for guests to visit, including performing Musket and Rifle demonstrations. Chapter members in uniform taught the guests about the lives of soldiers in the 18th century. This also served as a recruitment event with many expressing interest in joining the chapter. The Chapter Color Guard marched in the escort in a “Welcome Home” parade for the opening ceremony honoring veterans of the Vietnam War.

A popular stop for attendees was the photo cutout . (right side of photo.) There are hundreds of pictures floating around in “the cloud”, on cell phones and a few cameras with the SAR logo and name.

Compatriots Gregory Jewett, Phillip Jewett, Daniel Haas, James, Haas, Toby Haas (CAR), Thomas Putnam and Craig Sampson were in attendance.
