Rodger Moore receives Lifetime Eagle Scout Award – Dayton

Rodger Moore of the Richard Montgomery Chapter in Dayton received the NESA Outstanding Eagle Scout Award at the Miami Valley Council’s Spring Awards night.

Rodger has over 65 years of service in scouting. He joined the Boy Scouts in 1942 in Warren, Ohio, becoming an Eagle Scout in 1947. In 1966, Rodger moved to the Dayton area where he immediately became active with the Miami Valley Council. He has held every volunteer position at least once including Council President in 1985.

Rodger and his wife Eleanor have four children. Their son is an Eagle Scout and five of their grandsons are also Eagle Scouts.
