Central District Calls Four State SAR Societies Together – Erlanger, KY

The State Societies of Ohio, Indiana, Kentuck and West Virginia met in Erlanger, Kentucky for their annual meeting of Central District. Vice President Chilton convened the meeting where the four states endorsed a slate of General Officers for the National Society Leadership team for 2013-2014.

Lance Carter of the West Virginia was identified as the next VPG of Central District.

A special presentation was made to Historian General Bob Bowen.  He is a dual member of the Cincinnati Chapter.  The Ohio Society presented Bob with a Wounded Warrior Coin for his military service in Viet Nam.

A cash collection was made for the Wounded Warrior Tool Box Campaign announced at the Fall Leadership Meeting.

Representing Ohio at the meeting were State Society President Steve Kelley, Don McGraw of Cincinnati, and VPG Larry Perkins of Ebenezer Zane and VPG Paul Wilke of Cincinnati.
