Ulysses S. Grant – Point Pleasant

The 18th President of the United States was born in Point Pleaseant, along the Ohio River on April 27, 1822.  He is a West Point graduate.  He was the Commanding General of the Union Army that brought the American Civil War to an end.  He was elected President for two terms from 1869 to 1877.

His Patriot Ancestor was Captain Noah Grant III who was present at Bunker Hill and served until the fall of Yorktown.
